We are firm believers in transparency and always highlight the risks present in our investment opportunities, so that you can make an informed decision based on your personal requirements. Our relationship managers are always on hand to explain the risks to you in greater detail and the offering document highlights specific risks to a corresponding investment.
All of our investments have been screened using our thorough due diligence process and also come with security measures to mitigate risk, such as asset-backing and first legal charge in favour of investors. It is important, however, to understand that these security measures are not a guarantee of repayment and in certain instances a given company’s assets may not be realised to pay investors.
There are general risks that apply to the investments available through us and these are explained below:
No early redemption – Your investment is what’s known as a ‘non-readily realisable security’, in other words, it cannot be sold on a secondary market or redeemed early, so you need to be willing and able to hold the investment for the entirety of its term.
Assumptions based on past performance – A company’s past performance is no indication of its future performance and is thus not a guarantee of future success or the meeting of its objectives.
Investment advice – Amio Wealth does not provide investment advice and therefore it is important that you seek financial advice if you do not understand any aspects of an investment product before proceeding.
No FSCS coverage – The investments available through us are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and you have no right to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Your capital is at risk and returns are not guaranteed –In the highly unlikely event that one of the companies we work with was to go into administration or suffer an operational setback, it may not be able to pay your returns or pay them as scheduled, or you may lose some or all of your invested capital.
Specific risks related to each investment – Every investment is different and carries its own terms and risks. The offering document highlights all the risks of a particular investment and you should make sure you have read this document carefully to ensure the investment in question is right for you.
